SIZEMORE NAMED FIRST-TEAM ALL-OVC

RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University sophomore forward Charlotte Sizemore was named to the first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference unit in balloting recently conducted of the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

Sizemore, 5-11 from Hazard, led the Lady Colonels and was third in the league in scoring with her 17.6 per game mark. She also ranked ninth among conference free throw shooters (75.2 percent) and 15th in the league in rebounding (5.2).

"Charlotte is a very deserving player for this honor. This is certainly a compliment to her to be picked on such a prestigious team as a sophomore," said EKU head coach Larry Joe Inman. "She was our go-to type player all season long. She hit some big buckets and made some big plays for us down the stretch in several games that made the difference. She is a winner who hates to lose and we like that kind of attitude on the floor at crunch time."

Joining Sizemore on the All-OVC first team were 6-4 junior center Leah Aldrich of Eastern Illinois, 6-0 junior forward Zabrina Harris and 5-5 senior guard Tessa Fields of UT Martin and 6-2 junior center Diane Seng of Tennessee Tech. Harris was chosen OVC Player of the Year.

Sizemore hit 35.8 per cent from the floor, 26.3 percent from three-point territory and was second on the team in assists (76) and third on the club in steals (41) this season. She was a member of the OVC's All-Freshman team last year, while scoring 8.9 points per game.

Eastern closed the season with an 11-16 overall record and 8-10 mark in the conference, good enough for a sixth place finish in the final league standings.
