INMAN TO COACH SELECT USA TEAM IN CHINA DURING MAY

RICHMOND, Ky. - Veteran Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball coach Larry Joe Inman has been chosen to coach the Sports Reach Crusaders Select USA Women's Team in China, May 15-30 of this year.

Inman and his wife Bobbie Gene will be a part of the women's team contingent from the United States that will also include a men's squad as well. Inman is looking forward to this new experience.

"I'm excited to be involved with this opportunity to coach, minister and travel to China. This will not only be very educational, but we're also looking forward to the opportunity to fellowship with the teams we play that have never heard of Jesus Christ," Inman said.

"We'll have a chance to witness to these individuals following every game we play. This has to be one of the most satisfying and gratifying things a coach could ever hope to do," Inman said.

Inman recently completed his 11th season at EKU, following an eight-year stint at Middle Tennessee. The six-time Ohio Valley Conference Coach-of-the-Year has compiled a 172-129 record at EKU with three OVC championships, following a 161-73 record at MTSU and five league titles.

His 24-year overall coaching record, which includes five years at Mt. Juliet High School in Nashville, TN, now stands at 466-216.

Inman said that the Sports Reach Select Teams could also possibly play in Korea.

"If this happens, it would be historic. To my understanding, no U.S. team has ever played in Korea. That would also give us another great opportunity to witness," Inman said.
